There’s something about my grandfather
I don’t speak much Tagalog, he doesn’t speak much English. The only time we try to communicate is if he wants me to eat some mango’s with him or if I can turn on the tv so he can watch wrestling or boxing
Because he asks me simple favors, I appreciate laughing at him when he doesn’t know how to switch the channel

The Lady hidden behind the trees, Panighatta, India (March 19, 2009)
One day we went out to where most of the tea plantation workers lived. We were to interview them asking them how they’re living conditions are. Some of the questions include: What is your name? Do you have mosquito netting around your bed? etc
What makes this Lady different is when answering the simple questions, one was unanswerable.
“How old are you?”
“I don’t know”
With what we gathered, she was married at the age of 19. Had children at 30, and are, at the time, 35. With the help of my chem teacher, he easily told her she was 65.
Thank you for showing me the littlest thing can bring a big smile to someones face.
